本标准规定了甘蔗螟虫综合防治的术语和定义、测报措施、防治原则、主要防治技术措施、注意事项。
本标准适用于甘蔗二点螟（Chilo infuscatellus Snellen）、条螟（Chilo sacchariphagus Bojer）、黄螟（Argyroploce schistaceana Snellen）的综合防治。
甘蔗红尾白螟（Tryporyza intacta Snellen）、大螟（Sesamia inferens Walker）、台湾稻螟（Chilo auricilius Dudgeno）的防治可参考执行。
